Welcome to Art of the Brush. Founded in early 2026, our goal is to make fine artworks by contemporary Chinese artists available to art-lovers in Brisbane, Australia. The artists whose paintings and calligraphy we will bring to you work within traditional frameworks, but with fresh and contemporary visions.

To launch Art of the Brush we’re pleased to host an exhibition of paintings and calligraphy by Yang Yifei, an emerging artist based in Xi’an, China. The exhibition will take place on Monday 20th – Tuesday 21st April 2026 at Richard Randall Art Studio, Toowong, in the grounds of Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens. Exhibited works will be offered for sale.
